We are Juan and Shelby Saenger, a husband-and-wife photography team based in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. For us, photography isn't just a business, it’s a shared hobby and a way for us to spend time together doing something we truly love.
Our Story
Our own story began back in 2018 when we met at CrossWoods Adventure Camp. From that very first summer, we’ve kept our faith at the center of our lives. It’s the foundation of our marriage and the lens through which we see the world.
When we aren't out tracking wildlife or capturing a wedding, you can usually find us at home. Shelby is likely in her garden, while Juan is probably managing the chaos of our three favorite assistants: our dogs, Loretta, Annie, and Merri.

We believe that every life and every marriage is a reflection of the Divine. We work together on every major shoot to ensure we capture the full story, the raw majesty of creation and the quiet, sacred moments of human connection.
For the Catholic Community
Because our faith is the heartbeat of our home, we choose to focus our wedding photography exclusively on Catholic weddings. We understand the weight and the beauty of the Sacraments, and we consider it a privilege to document the beginning of a new domestic church.
A Note on Wedding Budgets
We know exactly what it’s like to plan a wedding on a tight budget. We’ve been there, and we know that high-quality photography often feels out of reach when you’re trying to be a good steward of your resources.
Here is our promise: We are not "cheap," but we are flexible. Because this is a hobby we love rather than a high-pressure career, we have the freedom to work with you. If you are a Catholic couple worried about the cost of a photographer, please reach out anyway. We would much rather find a way to make it work than have you settle for photos that don't do your big day justice.
